Relevant Now Consultants
Hakim Hazim is the founder of Relevant Now Consultancy. He holds a BA in sociology from Washburn University and a Master of Arts in national security studies from California State San Bernardino University. He is also a certified Crisis Prevention Institute Senior Trainer, and QMRP (Qualified Mental Retardation Professional). His company specializes in the following areas of national and international security: counterterrorism, radical religious sects, radicalization processes, vigilantism, anomy, gangs, juvenile delinquency, leadership analysis, law enforcement approaches for mentally ill or challenged individuals, urban decay theory, and social decay theory. Relevant Now is a company that has been contracted to present research in the following areas: radicalization, profiles of terrorist leaders, the ideas and grievances behind revolts, the mindsets and worldviews that guide religious groups, militant sects/cults, and leadership studies. Relevant Now predicts and profiles the degree of threat particular groups and individuals pose to their host countries. Mr. Hazim is currently a member of the following organizations: TEWG network in LA, GoupIntel Network, Program Coordinator for Ambitions of Idaho, O.P.T.I.O.N.S Program Director for LEADERSHIP 1st, Consultant with Counter Opfor, and a partner with Emerge Consultancy & Investments.
Charles Holmes agreed to join Relevant Now as a researcher in 2007. He brings focused energy and personal experience regarding the emerging theories of urban and social decay. Mr. Holmes has been involved in research strategies regarding divestment and investment. In the past he achieved success trading currencies in the foreign exchange market. Currently, "Chuck" examines the impact of divestment from urban centers in a thorough, balanced, nonpartisan way. His written research is included in Relevant Now presentations.
Contracted Research
As a graduate student Mr. Hazim predicted the rise of non state threats to America as well as the potential of lone wolves. In 2007 Mr. Hazim completed research regarding the threat of terrorism from the incarcerated population (see selected writings below). He is considered a national expert with rare expertise by the various agencies he has contracted with. His research has been presented, and made available to numerous individuals tasked with our nation's security. He has been the keynote speaker in meetings and conferences with military intelligence, law enforcement personnel, intelligence agencies, private security companies and private organizations. Mr. Hazim is a dynamic speaker as well with notable presentations that have included the following: Naval intelligence groups, TEW Groups, Montgomery Police Department Negotiations Unit (Requested by NLE&CT-West & NIJ after DC Sniper Shootings), and the LASD/JRIC joint Inmate Radicalization Conference.
Emerging Research
The various areas of studies Relevant Now has engaged in is producing an original theoretical framework known as Innate Revolt Theory. Please view the musings page for more insight.
Contracted Rates:
Keynote: $2500 plus expenses (60 minutes to 150 minutes with rate range including up to 5 hours of customization for target audience)
Seminars: Half day = 3 hours and Full day = 6 hours (Rates are negotiated and include expenses and degree of personalization for audience)
C.O.N.F.I.R.M Trainings: Negotiated Rates
Research Projects: $65 - $100 per hour of work. (Percentages of fees and advancements due upon completions of agreed upon benchmarks. All contracts are written and agreed upon by both parties. Contratcts that include 250 or more hours of research include a free 1/2 day seminar on research findings. In addition contracts with more than 250 hours will automatically be reduced to $65 per hour of additional work.)

Global Crime, Perpetual Jihad: Striving for a Caliphate (Routledge 2006) Electronic publication.
Perpetual Jihad is also included in Criminal States and Criminal Soldiers by Dr. Robert J. Bunker. This book contains contributions from international and national experts. The authors are experts in current trends and posit futuristic projections of the things likely to shape global security issues.
